I count it an honour - SUMMIT '07 CLIMBING KILIMANJARO

In May 2007, 40 men and women climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain in the world. With a vision to join 204 nations in the Global Day Of Prayer, they faced the challenge and succeeded.

This is the story of a mountain that broke, challenged and changed 40 lives. A story of God's majesty and awesome beauty, of His gentle mercy and grace played out in the lives of ordinary people, brought to their knees by a sovereign God.

EVIDENCE - Uganda's triumph over HIV/AIDS

In the late 1980's a silent killer stalked the nation of Uganda. This killer respected neither age nor gender, and in a few years entire villages were eradicated. At first the virus was known as Slim, but soon became identified as HIV/AIDS

In the light of the pandemic the President and the 1st Lady of Uganda spearheaded a campaign that promoted behavioral change. Soon the church, NGOs, mass media, entertainment and education all spoke with one voice. The heart of their message was Abstinence for youth, Being faithful in marriage and finally the use of condoms. The message of ABC changed the destiny of the nation.
